The materials are mostly written in Spanish. The Alianza was known to advocate for Mexican-American education and civil rights.  Abstract:  Papers relating to the Alianza Hispano-Americana, which offered low-cost life insurance, social activities, and other services to primarily Mexican/Mexican-Americans living in the United States and Mexico. Founded in Tucson in 1894, Alianza was one of the first organizations to offer life insurance and burial policies to Mexican-American citizens.  Abstract:  Allan Radbourne was a writer and historian. In addition to numerous journal and magazine articles about Western history, he published an acclaimed biography of Apache Scout Mickey Free in 2005 called Mickey Free: Apache captive, interpreter, and Indian Scout. Later in life he began writing about the early cinema, with a history of silent movies titled The Silent Mountie Movies-1910-1930 published posthumously in 2021. The Allan Radbourne collection consists of 7 series of records, notes, photographs, articles, transcriptions, presentations and other reference materials related to Southwestern Frontier and Borderlands History circa 1800's and early 1900's created by Allan Radbourne. Inclusive dates reflect the original date of the primary source material if available or if it is transcribed from an original source material.  Abstract:  The Dr. Andrew Wallace Collection is the accumulation of his research documents associated with Historical Archaeology, working notes for Dr. Wallace’s dissertation and the expansion of infrastructure into the American West in the nineteenth century. The collection is of particularly use in reference material for military exploration, Native American relations, deportation and hostilities, railroad and telegraph development, and state development of the American Northwest and Southwest. The inclusive dates of the dissertation working notes and the expansion of infrastructure collections are from 1826 to 1864 with the majority being in the 1850’s to early 1860’s. The date range of Dr. Wallace’s Historical Archaeology Class is from the 1970’s to 1995. The inclusive dates of the entire collection are from 1839 to 1995 respectively. The Southwestern Bicentennial Celebration materials documents the planning of the region's events and activities during the celebration of America's first 200 years as a nation.

 Abstract:  The Andrew Wallace Papers collection contains microfilm and photocopies of the diaries of General August Valentine Kautz, written between 1859 and 1894, as well as related materials such as 30 rolls of microfilm of official U.S. Army documents at various Arizona army posts. These include Fort Whipple, Camp Lincoln, Fort Verde, etc. - all pertaining to the career of General Kautz. In addition, the collection contains research materials related to the Sitgreaves Expedition (1851), the Amiel Weeks Whipple Expedition (1853-1854) and the Joseph Christmas Ives Expedition (1857-1858). In the collection there are a variety of maps, journals, illustrations, scholarly articles, biographical sources and genealogical materials. All resources were copied, composed or collected by the donor, Andrew Wallace between 1963 and 1984.
